Ventriloquist's Test Results

Post by Ciphermask on Sat Jun 07, 2014 3:45 am

Match Results
Ciphermas vs. Ventriloquist
Evilswarm vs. Sylvan
Result of the Duel: Tester wins 2/0 (0/10 points)

Deck Rating Total: 33/45

Main Deck Structure: 10/15

Main Deck Synergy: 8/10

Side Deck: 6/10 -
Not too bad, a lot of it works for play disrupting when you need it, but I feel like the extra MST could've been better in the main deck with trouble with backrow you could run into. The Macro Cosmos and the D-Fissure aren't horrible, but I feel like they could be switched out with something else, especially with how you ended up using the graveyard.

Extra Deck: 9/10 -
Not bad either, the two Big Eyes might be unneeded, but they don't hurt it too bad. The synchs you use are pretty good, but the Shooting Star may be better off somewhere else, but that's an opinion and I won't count off for it.

Notes on Deck:
Everything seems to work fairly well, I do however think that having Kuribandit at three isn't needed, as it is fairly slow in comparison to other options. I would likely change up the amount of a few of the Sylvans in the main deck. Princessprout would likely be better at 2 for how much you used it in our duel and Cherubsprout would be better at 2 as well. Other than that, more backrow stoppers would help, like maining that third MST.

Match Performance Total: 24/35

Use of Cards: 8/10

Concentration: 10/10

Control of the Duel: 1/10

Siding Skills: 4/5
The siding that was done would've helped if it had been able to be used, Mischief of the Yokai and XYZ Encore would've stopped the main issue that he had to deal with (Ophion).

Ruling Test Score: 4/10

Notes on Performance:
Performed well and came close to stopping the blocks I set up for him several times I made them. He had to deal with many traps and he didn't have much he could do about them while only having 2 MSTs. Still, his recycle plays were done well, his Princessprout in particular kept netting him reuse of resources that helped him hang on. He gained some footing in round one with a few E-Drag plays and some recycles, but my traps (such as Bottomless and D-Prison) took it away quickly. In round 2, he never seemed to gain footing with how trap heavy my field was, he seemed to not have very many good draws or mills. Sylvan Charity helped him set some things up, but Ophion got in the way of those round one. Round two he was prepared for XYZ, but the fact I didn't use any tripped up some of his plays, instead causing him to contend with many traps and cards he had no use for.

Final Score: 61/100
0-50 places you in Sphere Blue
51-85 places you in Prism Green
86-100 places you in Disigma Red.
To get Omega Purple, one must first achieve Disigma Red with at least a 95/100. Then he/she must contact a staff for the special Omega challenge. This is extremely difficult to accomplish; very few may even get the opportunity to try for Omega.

Welcome to Prism Green

For what it's worth, you ended up with a really bad match up, so I couldn't write too much about it, your deck and skills are pretty good, just a few tweaks and a better situation would help.

I am the one with no color. The one who...would Dark Bribe an Upstart.

Indeed agreed. However i would like to point out the reason I don't main mst. Not because I feel any sort of change in your results are, simply to calrify the reason why i do not run them.

Technically, my deck(Maindeck) runs 5 msts. 2 actual spells, mst. And 3 sylvan komushroomo.

As you can see, when he is milled i get to pop a spell/trap card. Similar to how when marshleaf is milled i get to pop a monster.

However, i might still actually drop the field down to 1, or even -1 bandit as you said for the mst. But regardless, mushroomo is the reason i don't main 3 mst.
