!~~Cloudburst's test results~~!

Match Results
(Luster_Ninja) vs (Cloudburst)
(Racoons) vs. (Monarchs)
Result of the Duel: Testee lost 2-0 (0/10)

Deck Rating Total: 13/45

Main Deck Structure: 4/15
- I would not run Jester Confit, he just clogs up hands
- I would not run Evilswarm Mandragora, he too can clog up hands and is not very useful.
- I would run 3 MST and take out that 1 nightbeam, Nightbeam is not used as much and to be honest you don't need a mix-match of the two.
- March of the monarchs should be at 2
- I would not run grudge of the monarchs, he is an okay search card but not too useful
- Book of moon is not very useful this format
- You should really be running snatch steal, especially in this deck. you can steal + tribute an opponents monster which is great for monarchs.
- I wouldn't run pot of dichotomy
- I would not run Cyber dragon
- would not run Kuraz at all, that draw power your opponent can get could be bad.

Main Deck Synergy: 5/10
The deck is really outdated and has a lot of old tech cards which wont really help vs todays decks

Side Deck: 4/10 -
- Vanity can be run in the main deck in monarchs
- The monarchs erupt is not a really good card tbh
- Flying "C" should be at 3 tbh
-  You should run Light imprisoning mirror at 3

Extra Deck: 0/10 -
Monarch decks may not use extra at all but your extra is still bad:
- Gauntlet could be run at 2
- Inzektor EXA beetle is a card to run at 0-1
- You shouldn't run number C5
- You shouldn't run utopia beyond
-  Peroxy should be at 1-2 tbh
- Photon strike bounzer is a bad card tbh
- Gaia can be run at 1

To be quite honest you will never ever need an extra deck anyways, so I would not suggest tryin to make it your goal to go for one of these cards.

Notes on Deck: Pure monarchs are bad to be honest, I would use something like frog monarchs since they actually go somewhere

Match Performance Total: 22/35

Use of Cards: 5/10
Testee didn't really use the full potential of his cards. Still had a lot of cards floating about his hand.

Concentration: 8/10
I am giving -2 because you could have banished my number 64 with caius and tried to stop my plays, then attacked into unicore to try and do some damage.

Control of the Duel: 0/10
I had full control of the duel

Siding Skills: 4/5
- you could have dealt some damage by siding in x3 vanity

Ruling Test Score: 5/10

Notes on Performance: I would suggest serious reconstruction of your deck, turning it into a frog monarch deck.

Final Score: 40/100
0-50 places you in Sphere Blue
51-85 places you in Prism Green
86-100 places you in Disigma Red.

Welcome to Sphere Blue Cloudburst, I really hope you enjoy your stay and really do grow as a duelist with us!

I appreciate your feedback, it's a nice thing to have. Though that's not to say it's without issues.

A lot of your suggestions seems to be preferential in nature, some of your reasoning being that it's just "not used so much nowadays". While that's not to say some cards aren't used for good reason, it's silly to say that nightbeam doesn't have some very practical applications against chainable traps like MST itself, compulsory, or even the Book of Moon you say doesn't work well in this meta.

I also have some arguments against your nay saying of Book since we're on the subject. Had I draw it, it could have proved very useful versus your xyz monster you used to summon those tokens.

On the opposite end, why would you advocate the use of snatch and steal, yet say I should drop my stormforth to 2? For the reason you said to run it, they're functionally identical, except one is spell speed 2--stormforth. That seems counterintuitive, almost as if you're just looking for reasons to take points off of my score.

Given my decks current make up, there isn't too much to be done with the extra deck right now. All your suggestions just say to cut cards, yet don't suggest any alternatives nor replacements for them. With this, it's a reaosnable assumption that you want me to run an extra deck that isn't at a full 15 cards, which is ludicrous. Even if Monarchs seldom use their extra deck, if at all, it's ALWAYS better to have the options to use them than to not, that's irrefutable. Unlike situational cards people might run in the mainboard, situational cards in the sideboard in a situation like this don't hurt your game plan by any stretch of the imagination. If you can't use them: oh well, the deck's not designed to in the first place. If you CAN use them and it's beneficial to you, then it's a great thing that you can. I don't find much rhyme nor reason to you saying it would be better for me to run less cards there--much less why I got a straight up zero in it.

Since returning, I have considered running a Frognarch build. Though, with all of the new Monarch support, it seems difficult to actually accomplish given all of the backrow the deck advocates you to run. What makes it worse is that you want me to also mainboard 3 vanity's emptiness, which is even more harmful to the frognarch strategy--it prevents me from summoning the tribute fodder anyways.

I like the idea of running light-imprisoning mirror, though why do you say nothing of shadow-imp? Aren't Burning Abyss decks running about like mad men in the format?

As far as Kuraz goes, he's a card I prefer. I enjoy the utility he provides, as he can blow up my things for card draw too, should I find the need for it--such as when I have a Vanity's Emptiness on board, tribute fodder in hand and a monarch that could get rid of their problem. Something that isn't all that uncommon.

Pot of Dichotomy is another iffy card, but there aren't too many ways to refuel my deck and hand it seems like nowadays. I might drop them for Duality. I really would like to have an interractive discussion about this so I can learn from my mistakes past just a surface level "you should do this, not that," kind of evaluation that I'm pretty sure the grading rubric frowns upon anyways.

Hopefully I hear back from you here soon. Smile

Blue is pretty cool I guess.
