It's free build. Of course you can. But if you have too much of non-related cards, that can affect your grade.

I made a pact with myself to do this homework with the first deck I thought up. Boy am I regretting that. After going 20-3 (and forgetting to screen one of them) I started including ragequits. I did not, however, include DC's (I checked if they were online of not right after the duel ended.)

DN says that I win, official rules say that leaving the gaming site is a win, I am calling them wins. It's like if someone flipped the table when I solemn'd the Mermail Abyssbalaen.

Got a LOT of inferno reckless summons (one of which duplicated Hyperion only for it to get lightning vortexed.) Had great pops with my diamond dire wolves. (This thing had GOT to be tier 2 in this format. With how much trouble it gives my MAIN deck (and my main deck pops things a LOT), it's gotta be that.)

Don't remember how I got around this as this was literally my first ranked duel with this deck (starting off STRONG). Quit when shield worm eff milled three from his deck of two cards. Lucked out by milling almost all the ZW's in my first two or three turns. (Tier 3 or 4 prob, doesn't matter though because tiers 1, 2, and 3 are already filled.)

So yeah, these are going from most recent at the top to oldest at the bottom. Technically, all you asked for are wins, and DN includes quitting as a win, as do official Konami rules.

Also I hope you don't mind. Every time I faced Lightsworn I just admitted defeat and left after explaining I was playing a mill deck. I don't like playing those types of match ups out.
