VDA's Official Weekly Tournaments (yay)

Hey guys, so the weekly tourney idea has been approved which means that we can get this idea rolling and ready to go. These tourneys will consist of 8-16 people (depending on the number of people that join) and will have challenge oriented themes every other week so that we don't see the same boring decks spammed over and over the place. All duels must be done in 2/3 matches.

For example:

Week 1 = TCG format only
Week 2 = Rabbit decks
Week 3 = TCG format Only
Week 4 = Lightsworn engine decks
Week 5 = TCG format only

^Not the actual order in which challenges will apear.

ALL DECKS MUST BE SCREENSHOTTED AND SENT TO ME FOR CONFIRMATION. Once entered, deck changing is allowed. HOWEVER, after the tourney begins, DECK CHANGING IS NOT ALLOWED. Deck changing results in disqualification and may result in future bans from tourneys.

For the duels, screenshots MUST be taken using DN's camera function.
Screenshots MUST be taken of the following:

Victory screen of 1st win.
Siding screen after
Victory screen of 2nd win.

This is to prevent deck changing midway through the tournament.

Also, as incentive for you to join, we will utilize a point system called Tourney Credits (TC). These credits allow you to purchase prizes in exchange for your credits. Credits will be distributed as followed:

Win: 1 credit
Lose: 0 credit

Win by opponent inactive for extended period of time = 0 credits
Advancing to semifinals = +1 additional credit
Advancing to finals = +2 additional credits
Winning entire tourney = +3 credits.
Disconnecting = Your opponent decides whether to give you a loss or rematch.
Draw = Should not be any.

Now that we went over the credits. Let's go over what these credits can buy. The prizes are:

1 credit = Tourney reservation for next upcoming tournament.
5 credits = Deck request (with side + extra)
15 credits = customized sig or avatar (to your liking)
20 credits = Double credits for next 2 tourneys.
30 credits = Dorm Retest
55 credits = 3 dollar donation to DN (9 days of custom avatars and sleeves)[done by me]
80 credits = 5 dollar donation to DN (15 days of custom avatars and sleeves)[done by me]
100 credits = 10 dollar donation to DN (30 days of custom avatars and sleeves)[done by me]

In addition to the credits given for winning a tournament, you will receive an entry pass that grants you access to VDA's WTGC (Weekly Tourney Grand Championship) which will consist of the top 8 champions from previous weekly tourneys. The prizes for this are as follows.

3rd = 200 DP
2nd = 350 DP
1st = 500 DP

Remember, these tournaments are to have fun, bring this team together, and also to see some competitive non-meta decks. These tournaments will test your creativity, while also showcasing how you can play against your fellow friends.

Reminders:

- All decks must be TCG only, unless stated otherwise.
- Banned cards ARE NOT allowed, unless stated otherwise.
- Exodia, Mill, Stall, Empty Jar, Burn, Countdown, and all that fall under this category are FORBIDDEN in any tournaments... unless stated otherwise.
- Inappropriate behavior will result in a warning, and a disqualification if it continues. If the problem persists, you will be banned from future tournaments.
- If you wish to enter the tourney, you may PM me on this site or on Dueling Network, or you may post it as a reply below.
- If you would like to cash in credits, you may do the same as the above mentioned.
- All tournaments will be hosted by Challonge: www.challonge.com

Tips:

- Try to be creative when making/choosing your deck for the tourneys,
- Always take a screenshot of your win/opponent disconnecting/opponent abusing. (Just in case)
- Be active during the weeks that you are participating. You might get a win because your opponent is inactive if you're constantly on. (Not 24/7 ofc.)
- Remember: The challenges are already given before. So make sure to tech smart side choices.

Unfortunately, I'm quite busy this weekend with college related work (over 14 pages of writing to do for different classes) so maybe it'll start sometime next week. Also, spots are still open for anybody who wants to join. So, you can ask around or inform more people, as not a lot of people know about this.
