New Staff Application Thread

First topic message reminder :

For those of you who didn't notice, VDA is slacking in certain areas, and jobs are being left incomplete due to a lack of staff members. So we are now officially looking for more qualified members who would be willing to help VDA rise to the top again! We're going to have some somewhat high standards, and this time we're going to have prerequisites for the staff positions that must be met before application is even possible. If you are not active DO NOT APPLY.

So, we are now looking for several different levels of staff members. When applying for a position, PLEASE follow the given format, and make sure that the application is sent to me through VDA's PM system. I repeat, do NOT post a topic or make a post. Send the application to me via the PM system we have here at VDA. Also, please ensure that you have already met the requirements before doing so.

The following staff positions are currently available:

Recruiter
Tester
Teacher
Assistant (Event Manager, GFX'r)
Moderator

Recruiter

Recruiters are selected to log into Dueling Network and spread the word of VDA hopefully recruiting as many new members as possible Current Demand: Currently 2-5 Requirements: • 30 posts (50% or more posts of all total posts MUST be actual valid content) • Daily activity on forum. • Must have a Dueling Network account How to Apply: To apply, PM an admin with the following format: Spoiler: Special Rights: Recruiters are the main way new members are brought in to VDA. They are also are given the privilege to view the Staff Section. And will be payed 75 DP per week.

Testers

Testers are one of the most valued staff members here at VDA. Their main priority is to evaluate and determine the dorm a new member enters. And the dorm a retested current member will be placed in. They follow VDA's official Testing Rubric to precisely know your knowledge and skills at Yu-Gi-Oh! Current Demand: Currently 2-7 Requirements: • 30 posts (50% or more posts of all total posts MUST be actual valid content) • Daily activity on forum. • Slifer Red or above • Understanding of Official testing rubric How to Apply: To apply, PM an admin with the following format: Spoiler: Special Rights: Testers are the main source of student testing, here at VDA. They are also are given the privilege to view the Staff Section. And will be payed 100 DP per week.

Teachers

Teachers are mainly needed to post helpful information regarding Yu-Gi-Oh! such as rulings, guides, lessons, articles, etc. They may also post Yu-Gi-Oh! news such as new releases, reprints, card discussions and various other important information. Current Demand: Currently 3 Requirements: • Fairly strong knowledge about the game and its mechanics. • 30 posts (50% or more posts of all total posts MUST be actual valid content) • Daily activity on forum • Ra Yellow or above How to Apply: To apply, PM an admin with the following format: Spoiler: Special Rights: Teachers have rights to post lessons, discussions, rulings, and other various knowledge based threads regarding the game. They also have testing abilities, as well as access to the Staff Section. And will be payed 150 DP per week.

Assistant (Event Manager)

Assistant Event Managers are required to host a certain amount of tournaments for VDA, in a given period of time. These staff members must have some knowledge regarding tournaments and also have experience in running said events. Current Demand: Currently 2-4 Requirements: • Must have knowledge of Challonge and how tournaments function. • 30 posts (50% or more posts of all total posts MUST be actual valid content) • Daily activity on forum How to Apply: To apply, PM an admin with the following format: Spoiler: Special Rights: Event Managers have the right to host events or tournaments whenever they feel appropriate, some of which include official largescale academy events, or simply VDA Lives. They may gain testing abilities, if they wish; they are granted access to the Staff Section. And payed 175 DP per week

Assistant (GFX'r)

GFX Assistants Are here to create official graphic art for vda and must have the ability to use a photo editing application such as Gimp, or Photoshop. Current Demand: Currently 1-2 Requirements: • Must be skilled in digital artwork •Must have access to a photo editing application, and understand how it works • 30 posts (50% or more posts of all total posts MUST be actual valid content) • Daily activity on forum How to Apply: To apply, PM an admin with the following format: Spoiler: Special Rights: GFX Assistants have the right to create artwork for VDA whenever they feel appropriate, some of which include official Banners, rank icons, ect... They may gain testing abilities, if they wish; they are granted access to the Staff Section. And are payed 175 DP per week.

Moderator

Moderators are one of the most important levels of staff at VDA, following Administrators. Their job is to overlook certain sections of the forum (that they are assigned) to ensure that everything is running smoothly in that area. While Moderators may be assigned a single section, as well as make sure the chatbox is maintained. Current Demand: Currently 3 Requirements: • 100 posts (50% or more posts of all total posts MUST be actual valid content) • Must have been registered for a minimum of 2 months. • Daily activity on forum and chat • 0 profile warnings How to Apply: To apply, Private Message myself with the following format: Spoiler: Special Rights: Moderators are the highest levels of staff at VDA, after Administrators. Moderators will receive chatbox powers, allowing them to clear chat, kick or ban users. In addition, they will be given the right to edit certain areas in profiles, such as DP and TC. They will also gain the ability to utilize mod tools such as locking, moving, merging, and various other acts. Giving written/profile warnings is also a right that is granted to them upon promotion. Lastly, they are given access to the Staff Chat and Staff Section. And are payed 250 DP per week.
